- 4 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 medium apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, peeled and sliced
- ¼ teaspoon salt
