Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar for a gentle tang
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce regular or low-sodium
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for a twist
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil toasted is best
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or any neutral oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger or 1/2 teaspoon powdered
  • 1 garlic clove minced (for a little bite)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Step 1: Combine the Base

  • In a small bowl, pour the rice vinegar and soy sauce. Add the sesame oil and vegetable oil. Whisk until they start to mix.

Step 2: Add Sweetness

  • Stir in the honey until it dissolves completely. It might take a quick whisk to blend it smoothly. Keep going until it looks even.

Step 3: Boost the Flavor

  • Add the grated ginger and minced garlic to the mix. If you like a kick, toss in the red pepper flakes. Whisk everything together well.

Step 4: Season It Up

  • Taste the dressing and add a pinch of salt if needed. Adjust the spice or sweetness to your preference. Give it one last stir.

Step 5: Let It Sit (Optional)
