Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Mixing bowl
  • 8×8-inch baking dish
  • Spatula
  • Aluminum foil (optional for covering during baking)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup macaroni uncooked
  • 1 can 15 oz. creamed corn
  • 1 can 15 oz. whole kernel corn, drained
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese cubed
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ stick butter melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings for added crunch and flavor:
  • Crushed Ritz crackers
  • Bacon bits
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Macaroni

  • Boil a big pot of water and cook the macaroni following the directions on the package. Drain the water and set the macaroni aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Cheese Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Velveeta cheese, milk, butter, and salt. Microwave the mixture in 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each, until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.

Step 3: Mix in the Corn and Macaroni

  • Add the drained corn and cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce. Mix until well combined, ensuring that the macaroni and corn are coated evenly with the sauce.

Step 4: Transfer to a Baking Dish

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or similar size. Transfer the macaroni corn mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Step 5: Bake to Perfection

  • If you want, you can cover the dish with aluminum foil to stop the top from burning. Put it in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until it’s hot and bubbling.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

  • After baking, take the casserole out of the oven and let it cool a little. Serve it warm as a side dish or main meal. Add fresh herbs on top if you like, and enjoy the creamy, cheesy flavor.

Notes

When making this tasty casserole, adjust the cooking time if you use a different kind of pasta. You can also change the recipe to fit your diet, like making it vegetarian or vegan. If you need to make more, just double or triple the ingredients, use a bigger baking dish, and check if it’s cooked with a toothpick or fork if it’s deeper.
